Conducting R&D Like There's No Tomorrow
Much of the credit for our technological prowess comes from our extensive
research and development capabilities. Sir Speedy employs a fully-staffed department
whose only purpose is to identify and implement the technologies that will impact
our centers over the next five years. This department oversees Digital QuickColor,
our multimillion dollar, state-of-the-art R&D facility. Through this facility
and another located at our corporate offices, we test the latest equipment and
seed our network with the most advanced technology. Then we present our findings
to our network to help franchisees make informed decisions. Most importantly,
we provide the analysis franchise owners need to understand the technologies
we present.

Over the past year, we have supplied information on variable data printing,
direct-to-press technology, scanning technology, Ethernet, and networking issues,
among other topics. We've also provided franchise owners with all the marketing
and sales materials they've needed to market and sell these new technologies.
